2025 Vonn Bell Awards

The Vonn Bell Award is given to the Ridgeland High School student-athlete who is named the top athlete of the school year. The award is named after former Ridgeland High School football player and current NFL player Vonn Bell. The 2025 Vonn Bell Award Winners are Braylon Pritchett and Maria Ronda.

Braylon Pritchett had a wonderful year on the football field when he was named the Defensive Player of the Year in the region, and he was named on the All-State Honorable Mention team through the Atlanta Journal Constitution and Recruit Georgia.  He was named to the Scenic City Sports All Georgia Team.  He was also the State Runner-Up in the GACA Weightlifting State Championships in March.  Next fall he will be attending the University of Georgia.

Maria Ronda is known for being a three-sport athlete at Ridgeland. She excelled most in soccer and signed a scholarship to play for Dalton State. The three-time Walker County Girls’ Soccer player of the year had 16 goals and six assists during her senior year. She was not only a captain for the Lady Panthers, but she also excelled at CFC Academy, where she played club soccer. Maria was also a kicker on the football team and ran track when time allowed, where she held the school records in the 1600 and the 3200.
